The Thermotec 450 pump and filter set is a powerful and efficient filtration system designed for small to medium residential swimming pools, both in-ground and above-ground. It provides reliable water circulation and high-quality sand or glass filtration to maintain clean and clear pool water.

Constructed from durable, chemically resistant polypropylene, the filter tank is designed to withstand harsh pool environments including salt water (up to 7 g/litre), chlorinated water and demineralised water. The unit features a top-mounted 6-way multiport valve for simple operation and maintenance, along with a quiet, self-priming pump for dependable performance.

Media Requirement

• Requires 75kg of filter sand (3 x 25kg bags) or 52.5kg glass media (2–3 bags at 25kg)
• Glass media recommended for improved filtration performance

Sizing & Compatibility

The Thermotec pump and filter range is available in multiple sizes (300mm to 450mm) for pools up to 64m³. This 450 model is the highest output in the range and is suitable for larger pools or systems requiring higher flow rates.

If using with a pool heater, ensure the pump flow rate meets the heater’s minimum flow requirement before purchasing.

Connections & Optional Extras

• Compatible with standard 32mm / 38mm flexible pool hose
• Optional Intex connection kit available for 1.5" / 2" threaded systems
• Additional hoses may be required:
  • 3 hoses if installing with a heater
  • 2 hoses if no heater is used
• Jubilee clips recommended for secure hose connections

Assembly & Installation

The unit is supplied as a pump, filter and fittings pack and requires basic assembly. Installation is straightforward and suitable for most standard pool setups.
