1. Description

Elecro Optima Compact Electric Heater range is BMS integration ready and comes with corrosion-resistant titanium heating elements, making it highly robust and durable.

The Elecro Optima Compact Electric Heater is designed and manufactured to the highest specifications at the Elecro works in Hertfordshire, England. Compact in design, robust and ultra-reliable, this heater is made to last, providing you the perfect pool temperature with easy to use controls.

Robust, reliable, accurate and efficient, the Elecro Titan Optima is the ideal choice for a long-lasting swimming pool heater, which is easy to install even in limited spaces.

The heater can be vertically wall-mounted using the bracket provided or stand on the floor on its two feet and offers an easy-to-program touch screen with clear blue digital characters that are legible even in bright sunlight. Whether used as a stand-alone device or back up for a heat pump the Titan Optima will provide many years of reliable maintenance free service and like all Elecro electric heaters will operate at 100% efficiency throughout its life.

All Elecro electric heaters feature our unique and proven coiled heating element technology whereby a turbulent vortex is created in the water flow. This delivers outstanding efficiency and extended life expectancy by preventing the build up of mineral deposits on the heating element.

Three of these signature heating element and flow tube assemblies are situated in parallel inside the Titan Optima casing and achieve outputs ranging from 18 to 120-KW. Each element bank is energised via two separate contactors with integral digital timers that minimise the potential of any voltage drops and at the same time allowing for simple, no fuss installation.

The Elecro Optima Compact Electric heater range can be easily operated using the digital thermostat, accurate to 0.5°C and is ready for integration to your Building Management System. The heater’s outlet manifold accommodates a flow switch, with gold tipped reed, that provides a signal to the control board for ultimate reliability and safety; whilst the inlet manifold has been designed to eliminate the risk of air locking. Over-heating is prevented by a manual-reset thermal safety cut-out.

Safety and equipment protection is provided by a flow switch, with over-heating prevented by one auto-reset and one manual-reset thermal safety cut-out’s.

The guide for sizing electric pool heaters is 1.5kw per 1000 gallons of pool or pond water. Or 1.5kw per 4.5m3 of pool water

so for a 20m3 pool, you would need at least a 6.6kw electric heater.

Note that the maximum size of electric heater that can run from a UK 13A socket is 3kw

7. Warranty & Support

The Elecro Optima Compact pool heater comes with a 3-year warranty.

We recommend that you retain the packaging in case you need to return the unit to us for repairs under the warranty. 

We are happy to provide technical support for all Elecro Evolution products that we supply.

8. Delivery

This range of products are on a 15 working day lead time in the UK and can be shipped to any UK address on a 1-3 day delivery service.

9. Installation

The heater must be installed by a qualified electrician who must provide a certificate of conformity upon completion of the work.

The heater should be either installed horizontally or vertically allowing enough space for the pipe connections and wiring. It should be firmly secured using screws to a firm base or wall.

The heater should be installed at a low point in the filtration system. It should be positioned downstream of (after) the filter and upstream of (before) any dosing or other water treatment plan. Please ensure flow direction is correct.

The flow rate of water into the heater must not exceed 17,000 litres per hour (17m3/hour/3,740 UK gallons per hour). A higher flow rate will require the installation of a by-pass to prevent damage to the heater elements.

The universal unions are supplied with this heater.
