It glues into a 2″ fitting (eg 2″ straight connector or 2″ ball valve) and then allows a 1.5″ pool pipe to be glued into it

Needs to be glued

Note that 1.5″ pool pipe measures approx 1.9″ external diameter. Many customers incorrectly think they have 2″ pool pipe when in fact they have 1.5″ pool pipe
